Ted Gantt

Ted Gantt, 74, of Morganton went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 14, 2018.  Born in Burke County, NC on July 28, 1944, he was the son of the late Summie Gantt and Marie Brittain Gantt.  Ted was a member of Asheville Street Baptist Church.  He loved going to church and listening to Christian music.  Ted was a friend to everyone he met and loved life.

Ted is survived by his sister, Frances Houck (Alvin) of Morganton; nephew, Jeff Houck; nieces, Penney Corley (Bart) of Florida and Renee Smith (Skip) of Forest City, NC; great-nieces, Courtney Williams and Kailey Houck; and a great-nephew, Jacob Houck.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The funeral will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Goforth officiating.
