Teresa Ann Treadwell

Teresa Ann Treadwell, 53, of Morganton, NC died unexpectedly Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at her residence with her mother by her side. Born in Bristol, TN on June 4, 1957, she was the daughter of Sarah Treadwell Harris and the late W. H. Treadwell, Jr. Teresa was active in her church, First Baptist Church in Bristol, with 13 years of perfect attendance in rehearsals and performances for the church youth choirs. After joining the First Presbyterian Church in Morganton, she became a member of the Sanctuary Choir. She had attended Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon, VA as well as Western Piedmont Community College in Morganton, where she earned her CNA Certificate. She was a certified nurses’ aide, caring for the homebound elderly. She was a faithful volunteer at Grace Heights Nursing Home.In addition to her mother, Teresa is survived by brothers, Bill Treadwell, III and wife, Betty, and Randy Treadwell and wife, Sherry; a sister, Penny Treadwell Strickland and husband, John; step -sister Peggy Harris Mardosa and husband Steve of Raleigh NC , step-brother Grant Harris of Morganton seven nephews and nieces; and a host of great-nephews and nieces.Teresa was preceded in death by her father, W. H. Treadwell, Jr. and step-father, G. Ted. Harris.A celebration of Teresa’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church with Reverends Michael Bailey and Adam Bowling officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parlor from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. A graveside service will be held in Shelby Hills Cemetery in Bristol, TN at a later date. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
