Teresa Davis Corley

Teresa Davis Corley, 63, of Valdese, NC died Friday, November 9, 2012 following a lengthy illness. Born March 4, 1949 in Union County, SC, she was the daughter of Ruby Causby Davis of Morganton and the late C. Othel Davis. Teresa was a graduate of Union High School and received an associate degree from the University of South Carolina. She was employed for over 29 years with the Burke County School System.In addition to her mother, Teresa is survived by her children, Carrie Corley of Morganton and Bart Corley and his wife, Penney, of Charleston, SC and by her uncle and aunt, Eddie and Linda Davis of Union, SC.A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Dr. Thomas A. Bland, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Susan G.
