Terry "Odie" Hall

Terry "Odie" Hall, 62, of Morganton, NC went to his Lord’s arms on Monday, May 26, 2014. Born in Avery County, NC on September 25, 1951, he was the son of the late Calvin Odell Hall and Gladys Hall Keller Battle. Terry was raised in Zion Baptist Church. A master carpenter and home builder, Terry was currently employed by the N.C. Department of Prisons. He loved camping and the outdoors, and he was a youth baseball coach with the Mull Athletic Association.Terry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karene Sigmon Hall of the home; sons, Lucas Hall and his wife, Sarah, of Townsend, TN and Calvin Hall of Morganton; a granddaughter, Ellie, a sister, Gwynn Brockbank and her husband, Ed, of Hudson, FL; and his faithful beagle, Hank.In addition to his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Bertha Keller.The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with the Rev. Robert Wiseman officiating. Honors will be provided by the N. C. Prison Color Guard.
