Terry Sue Carr, 64, of Morganton, NC, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025.

Born in Guam on September 9, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Francis George Carr, Sr. and Florence Margaret Riehl Carr.

Terry’s love for her family was boundless, and her grandkids meant everything to her. At home, there was hardly a day that would go by without an episode of The Golden Girls brightening her evenings. An avid adventurer at heart, Terry relished spending time in the great outdoors. Whether camping under a starry sky, hiking through breathtaking trails, or simply enjoying the serenity of nature, she embraced every opportunity to explore. Cruising to new destinations was another one of her many passions, always with a smile on her face.

Terry is survived by her daughters, Dana Wilson (Kris), Jessica Carr, Bonnie Henderson (Michael), and Tabitha Melomedov; grandchildren, Hannah, Christian, Zach, Kara, Alisha, and Lily; great-grandchildren, Declyn, Miles, and Scarlet May; brother, Frankie Carr; and sister, Ginna Alexander.

In addition to her parents, Terry was preceded in death by an infant brother, David Carr.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be private.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
