Thelma Lee Workman Reese

Thelma Lee Workman Reese, 80, of Morganton passed away Friday, February 22, 2019.  Born in Person County, NC on July 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Charles “Red” Workman and Vergie Shull Workman.  Thelma was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Reese is survived by her husband, Gary Dean Reese of the home; son, David Lee Waters (Donna); grandchildren, Jake Waters (Emily) and Megan Waters; great-granddaughter, Kaylen Harris; sisters, Eunice Buff (King) and Edith Smith (Hubert); and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m., Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  The memorial service will follow at 5 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Rocky Reese officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Rd, Valdese, NC  28690.
