Theodore Wayne Michaels

Theodore Wayne Michaels, 64, of Morganton, NC passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Born in Burke County, NC on May 20, 1949, he was the son of the late Carl P. Michaels and Velva Victoria Denton Michaels. Mr. Michaels was a resident at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center.He is survived by his brother, Raymond Michaels and wife, Betty, of Georgia; nieces, Donna Clontz of Morganton, Robin Michaels of AZ; a great-niece, Brandi Wilson of Morganton; and a nephew, Steven Michaels of South Carolina.In addition to his parents, Mr. Michaels was preceded in death by a sister, Sudie Penley.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Covenant Center at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center with Chaplain Johnny Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Covenant Center from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.Memorial contributions may be made to J.
