Theresa Michaels Howie

Theresa Michaels Howie, 75, of Morganton, NC went to her Heavenly Home, Saturday, August 14, 2021. Born on June 13, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Eva Michaels. Theresa was a member of Oak Hill United Methodist Church.

Theresa is survived by her husband, Mike Howie; daughters, Renee Carswell (Buddy), Annette Henson (David), Danah Tolbert (Mark); son, Harold Blankenship (Amy); grandchildren, Lewis Carswell (Emily), Ethan Carswell (Jackie), Zackary Tolbert, Makayla Tolbert, Benjamin Tolbert, Andrew Blankenship, Aubrey Blankenship; great-grandchildren, Ella Carswell, Lucy Carswell, Noelle Tolbert, Noah Tolbert; step-daughters, Rebecca Little, Michelle Browning (James); step grandchildren, Joshua, Asher, Gabriel, Micah Little; sister, Barbara Childers (Benny), Frances Hawkins (Chuck); brothers, Kenny Michaels (Gullia), Virgil Michaels (Norma); and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Theresa is preceded in death by her brother, JD Michaels, Rex Michaels; sister, Dorothy Harris.

A memorial service will be held at 11am, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Oak Hill UMC. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Blue Ridge Health Care Foundation.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
