Thomas Frank, Jr., 84, of Morganton, NC passed away on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16, 2024.

Born in Indiana on April 28, 1940, he was the son of the late Thomas Edward Frank and Edna Frasier Frank. Thomas was a devoted member of Missionary Ridge Baptist Church and volunteered with Burke County React. He worked in the furniture industry for over 30 years. Thomas was an honest, selfless, good-souled man who would give you the shirt off his back. He dearly loved his family and his granddaughter was his best friend.

Thomas is survived by his son, Thomas W. Frank and wife, Tammie; granddaughter, Briana Frank and fiancée, Summer “Bammy” Leaman; sister, Debra Byrd and husband, Charles; brother-in-law, Billy Ray Lane; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family; and his grandpup, Booger.

In addition to his parents and step-mother, Mary Louise Frank, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Joann Frank; and a sister, Floretta.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Missionary Ridge Baptist Church (5612 John Watts Road, Morganton, NC 28655). The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the church with Rev. Darren Browning and Dcn. Mike Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Frank family to help with funeral and hospital expenses.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Ballentine and the staff at Amorem Hospice for the compassion shown to Thomas.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
