We all live on borrowed time.  People come and go so unexpectedly; we sometimes forget that nothing really lasts as long as we hoped they would.

Timothy Cook, 54, was called to Valhalla way before his time.  He is leaving behind a lot of stuff and projects for his life mate Tammy and children to figure out what to do with it all.  He was given to us on September 7, 1964.  The son of Julia and the late Thomas Cook.

We could gather many voices around near and far and the same would be said; he was a man of Honor, Wisdom, and Virtue. Purely dedicated to his soulmate, his forever partner Tammy Cook, family, and anyone around him. He was a Non-Commissioned Officer, gentlemen, husband, father, and friend who will eternally be respected and remembered by his community, his motorcycle world as a legend and righteously so due to his steadfast dedication and support to all that knew him 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and a firm understanding of what was important to him- the simplicity of living a life with those you love. Of all the people he touched, both willing and unwilling, his most proud achievement in life was marrying his wife Tammy Michaels Cook who supported him firmly in all his glory during the last almost 26 years of his life.

Dad set the example of a role model husband, father, and friend should be. He always did his best to teach his children character and hard work. We, all his children, and all kids around him pushed his levels of patience growing up and still some today, he  remained collective enough to guide us in the right direction.

Tim retired as a Staff Sergeant of the US Army with 21 years of service.  He wanted to do something to give back to the community and he did so by being the founder of Odin’s Saints Motorcycle Club which mission is to help Veteran, the elderly, serve at the soup kitchen, and they continue to make many trips to the Asheville VA to support and assist veterans.  Its hard to encapsulate who Tim was, he was a man who would do anything.  He was a fearless kid, a solider, carpenter, mason, and a student of all things unknown to him.  He wanted to know all and had just completed his Associates in Welding at Catawba Vocational Community College.  He was a library of knowledge and man of wisdom. Tim could walk into a room and demand attention not by force but by choice.  His life journey led him to be an Alpha.

Loved ones that cleared the path for Timothy are his father Thomas Cook and twin sibling Todd Cook. Now just wait patiently on your forever soulmate “TnT” Tammy Cook and your loved ones; children Joshua Cook, Angelica Carr, Prella Carr, Timmy Cook, Travis Cook, Kamilia Carr, Todd Cook; grandchildren Justyne Gellys, Kadin Scism, Mayson Palacios, Calianna Cook, Nala Corpening, Jolene Carr, Carter Cook; sister Carol Cook Smith, Robin Cook Whisnant, and nephews Daniel Smith, Wesley Whisnant, and niece Bronwyn Whisnant that will meet you again someday.

As the story goes on until we are all united together again we will continue to survive in this crazy world called LIFE, in knowing that Tim will be walking with us so that we are not walking alone. We must go forth and aim for the skies.

A celebration of Timothy’s life will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you continue Tim’s personal legacy by donating to Odin’s Saints MC.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
