Timothy "Tim" Mark Scott

Timothy "Tim" Mark Scott, 54, of Glen Alpine, NC died Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his residence. Born in Burke County, NC on July 19, 1959, he is the son of Ruby Parkins Scott with whom he made his home and the late Lee Roy Scott. Timothy was a graduate of Freedom High School and a former employee of Henredon Furniture. He was an avid wood carver.In addition to his mother, Tim is survived by his daughter, Abby Scott of Morganton, NC; a brother, Kevin J. Scott of Glen Alpine; and sisters, Becky Scott Cox and her husband, Tim, of Winston-Salem, NC and Bonnie Scott Perkins and her husband, Doug, of Morganton.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2013 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Reverends Boyd Biggerstaff and Barbara Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Alpine Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
