Timothy Wayne Gilley

Timothy Wayne Gilley, 46 of Valdese, NC died Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Carolina’s Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. Born June 16, 1965 in Welch County, WV, he was a son of Earl Gilley, Jr. and the late Joann Parsons Gilley. Mr. Gilley enjoyed his time spent in the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and camper. He was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Carol Jackson Gilley.In addition to his father he is survived by his wife, Sherry Poarch Gilley; daughters, Ashley Marie Gilley and Heather Ann. Gilley both of Morganton, and Rebecca Lynn Gilley of Drexel; a grandson, Carson Bentley Gilley; a sister, Emma Jean Gilley of Knoxville, TN; step-mother, Louise Gilley, a half brother, Eddie Myers of VA; a half-sister, Dreama of VA; three step-children and four step grandchildren.The family will have a private memorial service.
