Tina Carpenter

Tina Carpenter, 49, of Nebo, NC died Thursday, October 4, 2012 after a period of declining health. Born in Burke County, NC on April 5, 1963, she was the daughter of Joseph Carlos Buff and Frances Louise Buff of Morganton. Tina was a member of Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church in McDowell County. She loved the Lord and loved to sing in church. A home maker, Tina had worked in several of our local textile plants.In addition to her parents, Tina is survived by her husband of 27 years, Harvey Carpenter of the home; children, Joey Carpenter of Morganton, Amber Vue and her husband, Jim, of Nebo, and Nick Carpenter and his wife, Tiffany, of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Alex Vue, Jonathan Hefner, Nick Carpenter, Jr., and Levi Carpenter; and sisters, Bobbie Tolbert and her husband, Robert, Jennifer Dalton and her husband, Jason, and Michelle Buff, all of Morganton.The funeral will be held at 5:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Way of the Cross with Rev. Richard Ellington officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. prior to the service. The graveside service will be held at 11am, Monday, October 8, 2012 at Ridgeway Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Marion. At other times the family will be at the home of Carlos and Frances Buff.Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
