Tom Ledbetter

Tom Ledbetter, 72, of Connelly Springs, NC went to his Heavenly Home on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his residence. Born in Greenville, SC on July 25, 1940, he was the son of Ralph Overton Ledbetter and Swannie Mae Powell Ledbetter. Tom was a member of Salem United Methodist Church where he served as superintendent of Sunday school and on the church finance committee. He retired from Unisource after 35 years as a sales representative. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.Tom is survived by his wife, Ethel Ledbetter of the home; his children, Deion Lowery and his wife, Janice, of Florida, Tracy St. Clair of Taylorsville, NC, and Leif Ledbetter and his wife, Teresa, of Valdese, NC; grandchildren, Abbie, Katie, Whitney, Joshua, Tabatha, Michael, Mathew, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Carson, Eli, Kyler, and Gracelynn; and the mother of his children, Toni Clarke Ledbetter.In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Neil Lowery.The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Conforti officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided Marine Corps League Detachment #1197.
