Tom Riddle

Tom Riddle, 67, of First Court, Morganton died unexpectedly Friday, April 9, 2010 at Grace Hospital. He was born in Mitchell County on November 17, 1942 and was the son of the late Frank Howard and Emma Edwards Riddle. Tom was a good friend to all he met, and he loved his dog, Zippie. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Glen Alpine.Surviving are his wife, Jessie Day Riddle, of the home; sons, Kenny Riddle of Spruce Pine, and Mike Riddle and his wife, Jennifer, and Keith Riddle all of Nebo; his sister, Barbara Riddle Johnson and her husband, Fred, of Spruce Pine; stepsons, Chuck Franklin of Morganton and Darrell Franklin and his wife, Angel, of Edinburgh, IN; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a nephew, Tim McKinney and his wife, Julie, of Marion.Private services will be held with Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Burke County Friends for Animals, PO Box 1884, Morganton, NC 28680. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
