Tom Watson, 77, of Glen Alpine, NC passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020. He was born on January 11, 1943 in Elberton, GA to the late Floyd Watson and Lucille Queen Watson Greene. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Watson and Wayne Watson.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Robbie Shearin Watson; daughter, Rena Watson Hawkins; grandchildren, Lane and Reese Hawkins.
Tom was gifted with an amazing mechanical ability and building racing engines was his lifelong passion. Over the years, he built many award winning engines that set numerous speed records.
A private Celebration of Tom’s life will be held at a later date.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
