Tommy Monroe Lowdermilk

Tommy Monroe Lowdermilk, 59, of Cobb Ave., Morganton, NC died Monday, May 25, 2009 at Mission St. Joseph’s Hospital in Asheville, NC. Born in Burke County, NC on March 25, 1950, he was the son of the late Charles and Sudie Lowdermilk. Tommy retired from the City of Morganton.He is survived by his sons, Tommy Ray Lowdermilk, Timmy Lee Lowdermilk, and Tony Wayne Lowdermilk, all of Morganton; sisters, Lena Tweed and Joyce Pritchard, all of Morganton; and six grandchildren.The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 29, 2009 in the funeral home chapel with Rev. George Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
