Tony Wayne Williams

Tony Wayne Williams, 59, of Crawley Higgins Ave., Morganton, NC died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Burke County, NC on February 6, 1951, he was the son of the late Earnest Uray Williams and Cora Louise Michaels Williams.Tony is survived by his wife, Peggy Seagle Williams of the home; a daughter, Sonya Williams Foster and husband, Christopher, of Morganton; brothers, Jackie Dean Williams and David Ray Williams, both of Morganton; sisters, Mary Ellen Drury and Linda Gail Norvell, both of Morganton; and grandchildren, Cody Jordan Foster and Cheyenne Nichole Foster.In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by siblings, Gladys Walker, Earnest Williams, Jr., Beatrice Epley, and Patsy Johnson.The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with Rev. Rocky Reese officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park with military honors provided by the N.C. National Guard. At other times the family will be at the home.
