Troy E. Taylor

Troy E. Taylor, Jr., 62, of Hildebran, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2012 with his family at his side. Born in Catawba County, NC on May 29, 1950, he was the son of Troy Edward Taylor, Sr. and the late Elizabeth Barger Taylor. Troy was a member of the East Burke Lion’s Club and the Gideon’s International.Troy is survived by his wife, Carolyn Hildebran Taylor of the home; his children and grandchildren, Matthew Taylor and his wife, April, of Connelly Springs, NC and their children, Mark and Mary, Paul Taylor and his wife, Jamie of Hays, NC and their children, Caroline, Jonathan, and Joseph, and Amy McAbee and her husband, Eric, of Fairview, NC and their children, Elijah, Emily, Aidan, Caleb, and Ian; a sister, Melinda Travis of Claremont, NC; a brother, Donald Taylor of Hickory; and a step-sister, Kimberly Herman of Hickory, NC.The funeral will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Skinner and Dr. Randy Setzer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 until 5:45 pm prior to the service.Memorial contributions may be made to The Gideons International, P.O.
