Truett Seagle

Truett Seagle, 90, of Morganton, NC passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019. Born on March 29, 1929, he was the son of the late Guy Forney Seagle and Rachel Beck Seagle.

Truett retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company. He was a veteran of the US Navy. His hobbies included fishing and hand carving Old World Santas. Truett was a devoted family man.

Truett is survived by his wife, Reba Stephens Seagle; step-sons, Bryan Stephens (Penny), Todd Stephens, Mark Stephens; sisters, Nina Seagle Lingerfelt (Alex) and Mary Seagle Oxford; nephew, Michael Lingerfelt (Lavonda); niece, Susan Arrowood (Brian); great-nieces, Jade Lowdermilk Settle (Heath) and Grace Arrowood; great-nephew, Jordan Lowdermilk (Autumn).

In addition to his parents, Truett was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Braswell Seagle; brother, Richard Seagle; niece, Lora Lowdermilk.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am, Monday, October 14, 2019 at Burke Memorial Park with Allison Pryor officiating. The family will speak to friend after the service.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
