Trulah Reece Walker

Trulah Reece Walker, 72, of Glen Alpine passed away peacefully after a period of declining health on Thursday, October 25, 2018.  Born in Watauga County, NC on January 18, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Goldie Bryan Reece.  Trulah was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved her family dearly.  She enjoyed working in her flower garden and reading.  She especially loved taking care of her grandson, Cooper, and spending time with her other grandchildren, Adam and Jacob.  Trulah was of the Methodist faith.

Trulah is survived by her daughters, Beverly Walker Berry, and husband, Mark, and Pam Walker; grandchildren, Adam Berry, Jacob Berry, and Cooper Walker Jones; siblings, Rosalee Woodring, Mike Reece, Francine Bright, and Avery Reece; and a number of nephews, nieces, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Trulah was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Walker; brothers, Spencer, Steve, Ted, and L.H. Reece; and a sister, Dottie Reece LaFevers.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, October 29, 2018 at Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center.  The graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Burke Memorial Park with Rev. Dan Morton officiating.
