Vicky Elaine Waldrop, 62, of Connelly Springs passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018. Born in Burke County, NC on June 28, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Harold “Red” Waldrop, Sr. and Sara Helen Breedlove Waldrop. Vicky was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening, arts, crafts, drawing, and animals.
She is survived by her children, Angel Digh and husband, Jon, of Morganton and Ryan Freeman and wife, Amy, of Valdese; grandchildren, Emma Moneyham, Cory Digh, Allie Digh, Laura Digh, Gray Freeman, and Emersyn Freeman; a great-grandson, Asher Moneyham; siblings, Eddie Waldrop and Faye Powell; and numerous foster children.
A celebration of Vicky’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Gamble officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, Inc., 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
