Virgie Mull Orders

Virgie Mull Orders, 97, of Bethel Road, Morganton, NC died Wednesday, November 19, 2009 at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, NC. Born in Burke County, NC on January 15, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Frank M. Mull and Mullie Shuping Mull. Virgie was a life-time residence of Morganton and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She devoted her life to her family and to making her home.Virgie is survived by her daughter, Arneta O. Stewart and husband, Thomas E. of Stanley, NC; grandchildren and their spouses, Dr.. Alan E. and Dr. Elizabeth, of Athens, GA, Laura S. and Mid McCain of Spartanburg, SC; three great-grandchildren, Logan, Stewart, and Emery McCain; a sister, Neva M. Clark of Gaffney, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, Virgie was preceded in death by her husband, Ephraim Ray Orders.The funeral will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Pete Overcash officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
