Virginia Lee Morgan

Virginia Lee Morgan, 74, of Morganton passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2019 after a period of declining health and while surrounded by family and friends.  Born in Canton, OH on June 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Jess Dierdorf and Margaret Lucille Sprankle Dierdorf.  Virginia loved her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was always truly proud of her family and loved Sunday dinners.  Even during the toughest of times, Virginia was willing to give everything and anything she could to help her family.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by 2 daughters, Patricia Robinson (James) and Deborah Morgan; grandchildren, Travis Morgan, Dustin Robinson, Ashley Morgan, Brandon Robinson, and Dylan Robinson; 3 great-grandchildren; and a nephew, James Dierdorf and family.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bernard Morgan.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2019 at Burke Memorial Park.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family.
