Von Ray Mosteller

Von Ray Mosteller, 54, of Morganton, NC died Saturday, February 27, 2016. Born in Burke County, NC on October 23, 1961, he was the son of the late Joe Worth Mosteller and Vivian Earley Mosteller. Von Ray loved to cook and feed everyone. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.
A loving father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Mr. Mosteller is survived by his wife, Linda Kay Mosteller of the home; a son, Joey Mosteller; a daughter, April Mosteller; step-daughters, Melissa and Amanda Reed; eleven grandchildren; a sister, Sandy Miller and her husband, Keith; three nephews; and special cousins, Dewayne Pritchard and Dennis Self.
In addition to his parents, Von Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Mosteller.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. The memorial service will be held at the church at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Shawn Thomas officiating.
