“Walt” Walden Kerrnell Brown

“Walt” Walden Kerrnell Brown, 66, of Connelly Springs, NC, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 11, 2022 at UNC Health Blue Ridge. Born November 5, 1955 in Burke County, he was a son of the late Edmund Brown and Ruth Hollifield Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Freddy Brown.

Mr. Brown was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family. He was a hard-working man that spent over forty years in the furniture industry. Walt enjoyed traveling and especially his trips to the beach. He enjoyed life to the fullest and never met a stranger.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Glenda Hoyle Brown; son Greg Hoyle; grandchildren, Sasha Watson and Isaac Watson; sister, Laverne McMahan; sister-in-law, Dottie Ledford; and nieces Amber and Katie Ledford.

There will be a service held at a later date.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
