Wanda Hollifield Creson passed away Sunday, August 11, 2024. She was born on March 15, 1950 to Mae Taylor Hollifield and Delmar T. Hollifield.
Wanda’s greatest joy in life was her daughter, Melanie, who passed away on November 11, 2019. Wanda and Melanie loved to shop and especially loved the Backstreet Boys and attended many of their concerts.
Wanda is survived by her brother, Gene Hollifield and his wife, Charlene; nieces, Debbie Ayers and husband, Jim, Sherry Bryan and husband, Fred; nephew, Eric Hollifield and wife, Jennifer. Wanda also had several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A graveside service will be at 11 am Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion, NC with Rev. Laura P Myhr officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Gene and Charlene Hollifield following the service.

I am honored to say Wanda has been a friend for all our life. She had a big heart for others. I feel losing Melanie broke her heart. She never got over the lose of her. Wanda and I grew up together and had great times together. I have always loved her and her family just like they were my own. Mae took us to school and back everyday. We would never have been able to have wonderful childhood memoris without her. She was good to all Wanda's friends nnd all that knew her.
