Wanda M. Pearson

Wanda M. Pearson, 81, of Morganton received her heavenly wings on Sunday, February 27, 2022.  Born in Burke County, NC on October 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Jones Orders Pearson and Myrtle Lee Williams Dale.  Wanda was a member of the Baptist faith.  She retired from Henredon Furniture and worked part time at Western Carolina Center.

Wanda is survived by her companion, Marvin Edwards; sister, Sarah White; brothers, Jones “Bud” Pearson, Jr. and Russell Pearson; a number of nieces and nephews; and her special dog, Tiny.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her step-father, Grover C. Dale.

The graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at Burke Memorial Park with Chaplain Jamie Hazel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
