Wayne A. Warren

Wayne A. Warren, 70, of Morganton, NC passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at his residence. He was born on September 12, 1950 in Catawba County to the late Hobart Warren, Jr. and Beulah Huffman Warren. He was a graduate of Morganton High School Class of 1969 and served as the Class President. He was a Morehead and H.W. Jackson Scholarship Nominee at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Wayne retired from Western Carolina Center (JIRDC) in 2009 as a Work Therapy Director/Educational Specialist.

He is survived by his brother, Steve Warren (Shirley) and many other family members.

The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:30pm on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Sossoman Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 1:00pm at Forest Hill Cemetery with Jaime Torres officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
