William “Billy” Ray Hensley, 60, left his earthly home and went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 6, 2024.
Born in Pineville, KY on June 16, 1964, he was the son of the late William Richard Hensley and Ethel Miller King. Reading the word of God was his favorite hobby, and he also enjoyed making cat head biscuits.
Billy is survived by his sister, Loretta Vance; nieces, Jennie Belcher and Renee Cox (fiancée, Makayla Johnson); other nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews, Kristina Birchfield, Selena Birchfield, Taya Farmer, Cayden Myers, Jayden Bauer, Corbin Bauer, and Kingston Cox; and caregiver, Phifer Largent.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Rockcastle, KY.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Uncle he was my best friend bud I feel like I failed you but just know I tried my hardest you miss so much already my alarm keeps going off time to feed you but I know you're at peace now and you know I may not never get another cat head biscuit and that's okay because at least I know you're not in pain no more and it took me to right now to realize I was being selfish want you back I didn't get to learn the Bible why I wanted to from you but my little boy will all will know the great uncle Billy Ray cuz I will talk about you every chance I get we love you man fly high till we meet again
