William Robert Houk, 64, of Morganton, NC, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2024.
Born in Madison County, Alabama on April 1, 1959, he was the son of the late William Fred Houk, Jr. And Rilla Mae Cobb Houk.
William was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He was a hardworking man who enjoyed fishing, traveling, and was an avid fan of Alabama Football. He dearly loved his family and friends.
William is survived by his children, Chris Houk, Jodi Ferguson (Rocky), and Dustin Houk; grandchildren, Nathaniel Ferguson, Casey Houk, Haley Ferguson, Gabriel Ferguson, and Skarlett Ferguson; siblings, James Houk, David Houk, and Doris Chancy (James); aunt, Mary Moretz; and the mother of his children, Kathleen Houk.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home with Revs. Rocky Reese, Henry Houk, and Sid Houk officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
