William Styles

William Styles, 69, of Rora Ave., Valdese, NC died Thursday, July 19, 2007 at Gateway Nursing Center in Lenoir, NC following an extended illness. He was born Sept. 2, 1937 in Yancey Co, NC. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Vivian Atkins Styles; and step-daughters, Regina Kay Epley and Valarie Brown.Mr. Styles is survived by step-daughters, Debbie Holmes and husband, Tony, Elaine Hodge and husband, Jimmy, Sandra Dixon and Gordon Sweeny, all of Knoxville, TN, Ruby Bentley and husband, Lester of Taylorsville, NC, Rebecca Atkins and Trampis Dwardy of Gainesville, FL; step-son, Ronald Atkins and wife, Leni of Statesville, NC; step-grandchildren, Dean Brown and his children, Katlyn, Devan, Cassady, and Jacob, all of Knoxville,TN, Steven and Sonya Hodge and their children, Jacob and Savanah, David and Vanessa Tendall, Tiffany Holmes, Crystal Dixon and her children, Michelle and Nicky, all of Knoxville, TN, Michael and Amanda Hodge of Ft. Myers, FL, Cherry and Travis Kilby and their children, Brooke and Joshua, Mackenzie Miller, Lester Bentley, all of Taylorsville, Ronald George Atkins of Statesville, NC, Gary Atkins and Lacy Dwardy, both of Gainesville, FL, and Kenny Epley of Valdese, NC.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 22, 2007 at Calvary Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Leonard Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 3 at the church. Sossoman Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
