William T. "Bill? Lingerfelt

William T. "Bill? Lingerfelt, 69, of Newton, NC died Sunday, December 25, 2011 following a period of declining health. Born in Burke County, NC on December 25, 1942, he was the son of the late Thomas Herbert Lingafelt and Minnie Pearl Gurley Lingafelt. Bill was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Newton and was a retired employee of Whiteside Machine Company.He is survived by his wife, Catherine Clark Lingerfelt of the home; a brother, Ralph Lingafeldt of Lexington, NC; a sister, Doris Stadheim and husband, Steve, of Ellendale, MN; step-children, Tony Bolick and wife, Monica, Tammy Fluty and husband, Larry, Teressa Ham and husband, Allen, Terry Bolick and wife, Heather, and Tiana Bolick; and a number of nephews, nieces, and step-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Wilcox Lingerfelt; and a sister, Agnes Jackson.The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2011 in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center with Rev. Tommy Young officiating. Burial will follow in Silver Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
