Willie Mae Rinehardt Abee

Willie Mae Rinehardt Abee, 82, of Morganton passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022.  Born in Iredell County, NC on April 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert Rinehardt and Florence Caldwell Rinehardt.  Willie enjoyed watching soap operas and was an extremely tough woman.  She has the prettiest smile, never made an enemy, and made sure that her family went to church.

Willie is survived by her children, Jimmy Abee, Jr., Robin Shook, Tim Abee, and Cindy Atkins; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, Willie was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Abee; son, Ricky Abee; and sister, Rachel Sheets.

The graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Burke Memorial Park with Mr. Danny Carswell officiating.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
