Wilma Elaine Caler Turner, 90, of Rabbit Ridge Road, Morganton, NC, died Saturday, April 28, 2007 at Grace Hospital. Born in Cape Girardeau, MO on December 30, 1916, she was the daughter of the late William and Georgia Kendall Caler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Conrad Wall Turner. Wilma was a member of Faith Missionary Ridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Turner is survived by her son, Richard Turner and wife, Dian, of Morganton; a daughter, Brenda Schultz and husband, Dennis, of Troy, MI; a sister, Ernestine Hysinger and husband, Edgar, of FL; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Raymond Roland officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Sossoman Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour.
