Wilma Ray Smith

Wilma Ray Smith, 82, of Drexel, NC went to her Heavenly Home, Saturday, May 28, 2022. Born on June 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Ruth Ray. Wilma was an active member of Riverside Baptist Church. She retired from Henredon after 15 years of service. She had also worked at Drexel Heritage Furniture. Wilma loved to bake, going on outings with her sisters, doing crossword puzzles, and watching her soap operas.

Wilma is survived by her children, Crystal D. Lashinski (Vince), Dianna Lynn Smith, Gregory D. Shell (Marie); brother, Larry Ray; sisters, Nola Pritchard, Thema Brite; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Shell; grandchildren, Jessica Shell, Brittany Shell, Bryson Shell; son-in-law, Ricky Smith; sister, Lorena Moses; brother, Robert Ray.

The family will receive friends from 12:30pm until 2pm, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home at 2pm with the Rev. Rocky Reese officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Baptist Church.
