Woodrow “Bud” Harvey

Woodrow “Bud” Harvey, 76, of Morganton went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 14, 2019.  Born in Buncombe County, NC on January 16, 1943, he was the son of the late Clifford Patton and Mae Harvey Patton.  Bud was a member of Burkemont Baptist Church where he sang in the choir.  He loved his church and his church family.  He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the NC Department of Corrections.  He was a member of Black Mountain Masonic Lodge #663.

Bud is survived by his son, Woodrow “Woody” Harvey and his wife, Nicki, of Dawsonville, GA; daughter, Denise Sisk and her husband, Corey, of Morganton; grandchildren, Jake Lance, Brandy Lance, Trey Harvey, and Mason Harvey; and great-grandchildren, Adrienne Lance, Lennon Covil, and Memphis Lance.

In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Ann Boone Harvey.

A celebration of Bud’s life will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Burkemont Baptist Church with Rev. Luke Lane and Dr. David Mills officiating.
