Wylma LaVerne Martin Lindberg, 93, of Morganton, NC, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017. Born on June 13, 1924, in Logan County, AR, she was the daughter of the late William T. Martin and Dovie Mae Dorrough Martin. She was a member of Hickory Church of Christ.
Mrs. Lindberg is survived by her daughter, Nancy L. Belville and husband, Robert of Morganton; sons, George Andrew Lindberg, III and wife, Fran of Pemaquid, Maine, and Kenneth Paul Lindberg and wife, Jude Shultz of Gulford, New Hampshire; eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Andrew Lindberg.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hickory Church of Christ, 1218 Fairgrove Church Road, SE, Hickory, NC 28602 or to Burke Hospice and Palliative Care, 1721 Enon Road, Valdese, NC 28690.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
