Allen Mace, 58, of Morganton, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 29, 2024.

Born in Burke County, NC on May 1, 1966, he was the son of Barbara Emma Abee Mace and the late Jerry Louis Mace.

Allen worked at Hairfield Vault Company for over 40 years, the last few of which he served at plant manager. His hobbies included panning for gold, riding 4-wheelers, mowing yards, 3-D printing, and target shooting.

In addition to his mother, Allen is survived by his wife, Debbie Lynn Stidham Mace; sons, Samual Mace (Kathy) and Shane Baker (Jamie); daughters, Summer Knight and Sabrina Smith (David); grandchildren, Selena Gibson, Sekena Smith, Siarra Smith, Samara Smith, Trinity Baker, Jacob Baker, Lynn Ly, Tamily Ly, Sophia Mace, Serenity Wells, Mason Patterson, and Grayson Patterson; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Forest Hill Cemetery.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I am so sorry for your loss. I pray that God surrounds you with his grace and gives you guidance in your time of need. Although Allen will surely be missed , he will not be soon forgotten. Summer, I will keep you and your grandma Barbara in my prayers along with David, Louis, Sherry, and Shauna. Again I am truly sorry for your loss. If I can do anything, please let me know.
