Dayton “Bryan” Anderson, 66, of Morganton, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 10, 2024 after an extended illness.
Born in France on May 7, 1958, he was the son of the late Dayton Stuart Anderson and Lyda Louise McGalliard Anderson. Bryan was a member of Webbs Chapel Baptist Church in Lincolnton. He worked at Drexel Heritage until they closed and then began a second career with PCA in Morganton. He loved the beach and camping, but he most enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved dog, Pippa.
A devoted husband and father, Bryan is survived by his wife, Angela Jean Smith Anderson; sons, Nicholas Ryan Anderson (Deanna) and Casey Clyde Scott Smith; 2 granddaughters; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Hallyburton (Robin); and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In addition to his parents, Bryan was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Caleb Branchfield.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 16, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Webbs Chapel Baptist Church in Lincolnton with Rev. David McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

I am sorry not just for Bryan but his family He was the first friend I ever had we use to run around went we turn 16 I always hope to see him again but I will have to wait and see him in heaven I will keep you y’all in my prayers

Dad, Throughout the years of our life on this earth we experienced alot of things. We,ve had some wonderful times and my heart is filled with memories of things we did, places we went, the people in our lives that molded us and shaped us. Most of all Dad, I am so proud of who you are in Christ. A new creatures, now in heaven with all of those we love that went on before us. I will see you again dad, but until then, I will continue to live my life in the manner that our heavenly father called us to.
