Mike was like a second dad to me. He was a good friend of mine and my father's for over 10 years and he texted us every night telling us we were his family and all he had left and that he loves us & appreciates us for being there. He was only our neighbor for two months before we lost him. And I personally, will never be the same after losing him. He was my best friend. He guided me back to God, he helped me every time I came close to relapse, he talked me down and helped us thru our darkest times. He chipped in to help my wedding get going. He donated to anyone who needed it. I can respect that the family wants private time to say goodbye.... But Mike said we were his family too. And he most definitely was family to us. We just want to be able to say goodbye to him too, because this loss has rocked our world harder than I could have ever expected. ❤️‍🩹
