My sweet neighbor and friend will be so missed ! Praying for peace and comfort for all the family and Jackie’s friends . Jackie and I became close after she got her little buddy Henry . I would let him out for her when she was working out of town . After the passing of my husband in march , she and I would occasionally go out for dinner or just visit on our carports . I will miss just seeing her come in from work or just stopping in to say hi or seeing her calling Henry in or seeing her and daddy visiting on Sunday afternoons. My sister said the sweetest thing when I told her about Jackie passing she said I bet Chuck said “come here Jackie, let me show you around our” new “ neighborhood. “ one day I look forward to visiting her again with our pain free ,trouble free , no more tears bodies . Yes Jackie will be missed here greatly and was so loved .

My condolences go out to the entire Abernathy family. Although I did not know Jackie personally, I can only say she raised an amazing daughter my boss Jennifer. I believe that Jennifer was an apple that fell very close to that tree. R.I.P. Jackie. "GONE TO SOON" "BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN"!

Jackie made the work day very amusing at Morganton Eye. We cut up together all day, while we tried to act like we were working hard, but Dr. Akers knew better but that's how we liked it. Her smile, laugh, her "inside voice", and stories of her past experiences, daughters, grandkids and Henry were the best. Ill never forgot all the good times and laughs we had. Ill see you again one day my friend. Thank you for the memories. Love, Amy
