Judy Hoyle Gray, 79, of Yadkinville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 25, 2024.
Born in Burke County, NC on December 10, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Colen Maxwell Hoyle and Mildred Lucille Gallion Hoyle.
Judy was a member of Morganton Church of God. She was a sweet, Christian lady who loved her church and her family. She retired from Burke Mills after many years of service.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Judy is survived by her son, Jeffrey Davis (Stephanie); grandchildren, Jordan Davis (Amy), Kelly Card (Brandon), and Courtney Davis; great-grandchildren, Riley Davis, Soni Davis, Willow Davis, and Davis Card; brother, Dennis Powell (Lynda); nephews, Robbie Powell (Jennifer), Wesley Powell, and Cody Powell (Kim); and niece, Karen Smith (Ben).
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Zane Allen Gray; daughter, Cindy Davis; and step-father, Robert Lester Powell, the only father she knew with Colen having passed away during WWII.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. in the Colonial Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Judy was a very sweet and caring person. Her family loved her dearly and she will be missed. Her family is precious to me.
Judy was a very sweet lady who came to live in our area following the passing of her husband Zane. She was easy to know and fit in with everyone at church. She will be missed by many here.
