Kathryn Elizabeth “Libbie” Clontz Biggs, 77, of Morganton, NC passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at home with her family. She was born on October 3, 1946 in Burke County to the late Thomas Nelson Clontz, Sr. and Mary RayeHall Clontz. She was a member of Arney’s Fairview Methodist Church. Libbie loved her Lord and going to church. She also loved her family, her church family, her neighbors, and her animals. She enjoyed talking to others and never met a stranger. She truly cared for and always liked to keep up with everyone she knew. She was a very forgiving and loving person. Libbie always claimed to be “28” years old. Libbie’s professional career was as a caregiver. She provided love and care to residents at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center, Austin Adult Care, Signature Group Home and Integrity Senior Properties.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Anthony Biggs; brothers, Thomas Nelson Clontz, Jr. and James Hall Clontz.
Libbie is survived by her daughters, Glenda P. Taylor (Furman) and Lisa P. Terry (Rick); step-son, John Michael Biggs (Crystal); grandchildren, Shasta Taylor, Hannah Taylor, Ashley Winters Harper and Jennifer Winters; twelve great-grandchildren; and many beloved friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Libbie at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arney’s Fairview Methodist Church.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mamaw I will miss you dearly. You taught me so much in life and helped me so much as well as others with no judgment ever. Our long talks will always mean everything to me. I know you're with Papaw now and happy without pain but I can't help but selfishly wish you were still here. It will be hard to go on without you. I love you so much ♥️

I am praying for you all!!! Shasta and I were attached at the hip from 6th grade and up, I couldn’t tell you how many hours I spent in Mamaw Libbies kitchen. Glenda was like a second mom and sweet Libbie was a second mamaw, and nothing short of an angel. All the wisdom and advise, I wouldn’t trade it for the world, she truly was one of a kind. She treated me like one of her own grandchildren and loved me from a wild 12 yr old and up. I have sooooo many fond memories of her, to many to list One of the best women I have ever known!!!!! I know she ran straight to Paw at those gates! 💙💙💙 Shasta, Mama Glenda, Hannah I’m praying for you all Lisa, Ashley and Jennifer too. If yal need anything I’m just a call/text away. I am very sorry to read this about Libbie . She was A very sweet natured person and her personality would light up a room . I'm sure she will be missed by all who knew her . My thoughts and prayers are with her family and many friends.
