Linda Elliot McLean, 77, of Morganton, NC, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 6, 2024.
Born in McDowell County, NC on February 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Willie Wingo Elliott and Delphia Woody Elliott.
Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling with her family, outings with her close friends, and her happiest days were spent with her grandsons. She loved the Lord and was generous to a fault. Linda was a retiree of J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Cindy Crump (Samuel); grandson, Patrick “Dakota” Crump (Emily); great-grandsons, Easton James Crump and Grayson Lee Crump; sister, Shirley Perkins; sisters-in-law, Ann Smith and Ruth McLean; and nephews, Brad Perkins, Richard Perkins, and Jimmy Smith.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, James Patrick McLean.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Sossoman Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amorem Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street, NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

We are sorry to hear about Mrs. linda. I remember Mrs. Linda from church and when I worked in retail. She always encouraged me with her smile and uplifting spirit. The happy memories will caring you! I know there was a lot of happy memories. Take care and be blessed.

This breaks my heart. I will miss you so much sweet Linda. You have been a part of our family and we have so many wonderful memories of you and all the adventures we had. We are truly blessed to have had you in our lives. We love you and will miss you but are elated that Will will get to be with love of your life again ❤️❤️

Linda was such a wonderful person that was beautiful inside and out. She always had a smile for everyone. I so enjoyed getting to visit with her and getting to hear some of the stories that she told of earlier years with Pat and Cindy. You will be deeply missed. All my love to the family.
