Linda Miller Garrison, 74, of Morganton, NC, was welcomed home this morning (Wednesday, June 12, 2024) by the Good Shepherd and was greeted by name. Her hands loved and fed her family well. Her gift was serving the community with her baking. She was selfless, faithful, and full of grace.
Born in Erwin, TN on November 8, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Walter Coy Miller and Dorothy Riddle Miller. Linda was a long-time member and faithful servant of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. She loved to sing in the choir and visit shut-ins as a member of the Care Team.
Mrs. Garrison is survived by her husband, Allen Garrison; sons, Brian Garrison (Laura) and Keith Garrison (Kimberly); brothers, Ray Miller (Norine) and Bob Miller; and her dearly beloved nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Miller and Paul Miller.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with Dr. Dewey Thomas officiating.
Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.

A beautiful lady! I went to high school with Linda and graduated in the same class as her. A very pleasant humble, kind person! So sorry for your loss but she is in heaven today! No more suffering here on this earth! You and your family will be in my many prayers! I will always remember her beautiful smile! We have missed Linda since her recent years of convalescence sometime before covid. Just know family, that she left us with great memories of her beauty, smiles, laughter & sense of humor, and sweetness. Someone like your wife, mother, and mother- in- law leaves a big void in the lives of others - like Tammy & I!!!
Alan, Bryan, and Keith, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. She was such a beautiful lady inside and out. She loved you three so much and especially when you went on vacation with her and Alan. I worked with Alan and just fell in love with the whole family. You are in my prayers and we will see her again. She is walking on the streets of gold with my Savior and Lord (Jesus Christ). What a day that will be for us, when we see all our loved ones that beat us there. Love you three so much.

Linda and I were in school together at Salem High. She was such a sweet, kind, and gentle lady. Prayers and blessings for comfort during this difficult time.
I am praying for all of you. She is now in Heaven with our Lord Jesus and what a wonderful day when we see all of our love ones that have gone on before us.
