Monette was like a 2nd mom when I was growing up. She has always been one of my biggest encouragers in life. So thankful for the spaghetti meals she would make me bc she knew it was my favorite. I am so sorry for your families loss. Moe has always had a gift of show and sharing love to others. As a child we had good times when we gathered at Grandmother Harrill’s house. We have not had a lot of contact since we grew up except when our parents passed but I still loved her. I know she is in heaven. My prayers are with the family. Lucille Moore ( cousin).

Client turned to dear friend! She ALWAYS made me smile and laugh. If I was having the worse day, she always said the right words. A genuine Christian. I know she loves the Lord and that is where she is now. She is where her HEART is. Much love and prayers to the family as I know she will be dearly missed by many.

I first met Mo when I was orienting as a new nurse at Grace Hospital & she was orienting to work PRN there, as well. What an utter delight she was from the first time I met her - funny, honest, real, compassionate! We met up years later at Broughton when I changed jobs & we took up where we left off. Needless to say, she was still the same Mo! She was a light in the darkness & would try to make the best of any situation, all while making you laugh! She saw the good in even the the worst of our patients & loved to minister to them, joking with them & always treating them compassionately. Mo obviously had a Spirit-given discernment & could always tell when I needed a hug & a prayer! I had many of these occasions with Mo in the med room & they always helped me get through whatever I was going through. I can still envision her grabbing my arms & looking me straight in the eye & hear her voice resonating with her usual opening line “listen,” as she imparted God’s wisdom through her empathetic advice. I know I am one of many who experienced this. What an earthly sorrow to hear of Mo’s passing, but what a heavenly joy to know that she is more alive than those of us who are dying daily. Thankful for God’s plan & promises, all of which Mo so trusted in with all her heart! I love you Mo & am thankful to have known you & experienced your witness & all of your big old hugs & heartfelt prayers. Till we meet again, old friend! Looking forward to another one of your big old hugs ❤️

I was a brand new RN ant Broughton Hospital. Scared to death of what I did not know. I met Monette and she took me under my wing. She was reassuring, loving, and nurturing to this wet behind the ears young man. She taught me how to care and love the most difficult patient. How to look for the good in everyone. She was a one of a kind loving soul to everyone she met. She changed my life for the better. Prayers to her family. She will be missed.

Monette and I were friends for over 30 years. She was such an encourager to our family. Her hugs and laughter were contagious. “ Moe” loved her family and bragged about her daughter Melody all the time and especially appreciated the care Melody gave her during her illness the past few years. Moe also adored her granddaughters and great grandsons. They were her world. We will miss her dearly but we take joy in knowing we will see her once again. Hugs and prayers to Melody, Logan, Haley and the great grandsons. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around each one of you and comfort you with His everlasting love and peace. Love, Jani Carswell
