She was very proud of and loved her family dearly. She is survived by numerous godchildren and cousins whom she adored.

In young adulthood, she was employed at the Local Holiday Laundry where she met her husband. Mildred’s hobbies included being very enthusiastic about flowers, vegetables, and fruit gardening, where she loved to can, especially homemade soups. She was a caretaker of wildlife; an avid reader and puzzle worker; loved her dogs as own children; crafty with needlework, paintings, and creating Christmas decorations. She was an active volunteer at Hospice and CoMMA.

Mildred was a faithful and active member with her church, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Lake James. She served as Senior Warden, Junior Warden and Treasurer for most of her adult life. She was active with ECW which she chaired for many years. Gave herself to charitable activities.

Our love to you Sissy, you will be missed.

Mildred and I had a beautiful friendship and I loved her so much! She would tell me and others that she didn’t know why, but when we first met each other at St Paul’s we immediately formed a lifelong friendship bond. She will be greatly missed by me and so many that loved her as well. I thank God for bringing her into my life.

I worked with Milrose at Henredon where I fell in love with this sweet woman. She was an usher for my mother at Comma for many years. We haven’t seen her in several years but never forgot her kindness and sweet ways. She will be missed by us all. Marisa and Mary Lowdermilk
