Randall Bennett “Cisco” Epley, 64, of Morganton, NC passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 11, 2024.

Born in Burke County, NC on February 1, 1960, he was the son of the late Bennett Lee Epley and Thelma Lou Ellen Chapman Epley.

Cisco worked for over 30 years in the furniture industry before becoming a truck driver for various companies. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Cisco never met a stranger, and was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Cisco is survived by his children, John Randall Salazar (Randy), Charity Cherie Epley (Shedrack), and Lauren Epley Denton (Champ); grandchildren, Millie and Jack Denton; sister, Lisa Epley Arrowood (Johnny); nephews, Jakob Lee Arrowood (Elizabeth) and Zakery Kaleb Arrowood (Kasey); great-nephew, Nolan Arrowood; Aunt, Betty Chapman Barrett (Ronald); and numerous extended family members and special friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Hopewell Baptist Church. A celebration of Cisco’s life will follow at 4 p.m. in the church with Pastor Braden Martin officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hopewell Baptist Church, 1112 Hopewell Road, Morganton, NC 28655.

Sossoman Funeral Home and Crematory Center is assisting the family with the arrangements.
