Sandra “Sandy” Holland, 73, of Morganton, NC passed away, Wednesday, July 26, 2023. Born on April 3, 1950, she was the daughter to the late Charles Alexander Turner and Ruby Norman Turner. Sandy was a member of Rain Hill Wesleyan Church. She was an accountant at Leviton Manufacturing and Parker Plumbing, Heating and Air. She loved watching action movies, TV shows and crime shows. Sandy was a very good cook, and an avid reader. She enjoyed making floral arrangements, jewelry and crafts. Sandy loved her Lord and old gospel music. She enjoyed visiting the ocean and seeing the beauty of lighthouses. Sandy also loved being around her family, especially her grandbabies.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald R. Holland; son, Lee Holland (Jackie); grandchildren, Zachary and Brianna Holland, Nicholas Brewer; siblings, Charles Turner (Brenda), Susie Stroud (Roger), Joe Turner (Linda); sister-in-law, Wanda Dula (Junior); brother-in-law, Mike Holland (Donna); and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by her in-laws, Drusilla and Raymond Holland and brother-in-law, Allan Holland.
The family will receive friends from 2pm until 3pm, Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Rain Hill Wesleyan Church. The funeral service will be held in the church at 3pm with the Rev. Kevin Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
